A less steep ascent onto Rhosili Down via Middleton and the Gower Way.
We will take the ascent at a slow pace.
On the east flank of Rhosili Down, we will visit the 4000-year-old Neolithic burial chambers of Sweyne's Howes.
From this scenic viewpoint, we can look over the panoramic vista to Llangennith and Hardings Down.
Gently ascending to the top of Rhosili Down, we will stop at the WWII Radar Station.
Here we can have our packed lunches while looking at an equally wonderful panorama over Worms Head and Rhosili Bay.
Turning south along the ridgeway path of the Down, we’ll stop at the Trig Point which the Ordnance Survey built on top of yet another burial chamber.
Our descent back to Rhosili will be on a steep path, so walking sticks are recommended.
Toilets: In the N.T. car park
