A gently undulating walk out of Ryhall village, to the outskirts of Tolethorpe Park and then across rolling fields to the village of Pickworth, before returning to Ryhall via The Drift. This walk is generally easy going.
The route is primarily along field edges and stone tracks. There are however two road sections, the first short one can be busy, but there is a grass verge which we will use. At the time of recce walking surfaces were firm.
There are only 2 stiles.
There will be the usual breaks for coffee and lunch.
Dogs on leads only please, as the route passes by fields occasionally used for grazing sheep.
Please consider car sharing arrangements with other members to reduce the pressure on parking spots at the start of the walk.
In the event of severe weather, please contact the leader on the day of the walk to check the walk is still on.
