We offer walks in London and Home Counties, accessible by public transport.
Our walk starts along the quiet Basingstoke canal, then follows the River Wey canal to where it meets the Thames. We then follow the wonderful Thames Path downstream to Hampton Court. Roughly a 50/50 split between canals and Thames Path. A flat walk, with no stiles.
Lunch: Picnic or café near Walton bridge, shortly after half-way.
Train: Waterloo 10:23; Clapham Junction 10:30; Surbiton 10:40; arr West Byfleet 10:51 (Alton train). Hampton Court is in Zone 5 for the return journey, but West Byfleet will require a single ticket extension from Zone 6 (Surbiton) for Freedom Pass or Oyster 60+ holders.
