A moderately paced walk across varied terrain incorporating the rolling downs of the Sundon Hills with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. There is a steady climb to the chalk escarpment of Sharpenhoe on which lies the largest Neolithic hill fort site in the South East followed by a steep stepped descent to the gently undulating plain below We stop at the hilltop village of Pulloxhill before passing by Bunyan's Oak on our return to Harlington.
Walking poles, if you use them, might help on the steep descent from the escarpment.
