We are the Rochdale Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This is this second of three walks during which we will complete the length of the Rochdale Canal from Castlefield in Manchester to Sowerby Bridge. This second walk is Rochdale to Todmorden and is approximately 10 miles.
This is a rare opportunity to walk the full length of the Rochdale Canal towpath from Castlefield Basin to Sowerby Bridge in three parts - a total canal distance of 32 miles. Those who complete the full distance will receive a 'Certificate of Completion' from NIgel.
The final walk is on Saturday 6th April.
Start point is Rochdale Train Station, OL11 1DR, at 10 am. Return to Rochdale is by train or bus.
