Please join us for this most festive adventure taking in Historic Rochester during the festive Christmas Market period.
Starting from the Corn Exchange in the heart of Rochester we'll set off past the glorious Castle and Cathedral and head out along the River Medway, look out for Pip and Magwich on the river banks.
Our walk takes us out to Wouldham, where we tackle the infamous cardiac hill. We then pick up the North Downs Way, passing through Nashenden Farm, with the final 2 mile leg being along pavements and roads.
Once back in Rochester you are free to explore the many festive activities taking place in this quaint town, including carol singing in the Cathedral at 1530.
This walk is dog friendly, there are no stiles, expect mud and uneven surfaces along the Riverside path, so poles and appropriate footwear is highly recommended.
Parking is free along part of the Esplanade, be careful not to park where it's permit only, and there are a few long term car parks available, the main one is the multi storey car park at Rochester Rail Station which allows stays beyond 5 hours, the others only allow parking upto 5 hours
