We are a friendly, socially active Ramblers Group welcoming all who enjoy walking. Our walks programme is extensive and varied covering all days of the week.
Along the River Arun then up into the South Downs. Pub/picnic at the George, Burpham, then drop to the river again almost into Arundel Town.
The prohibitive return rail fare to Arundel and hourly service to Amberley has caused this walk to be an hour later than in the printed programme. This enables the cheaper route via Leatherhead/Dorking and a return fare of just £11.
So meet Sutton Station 10:05 for the 10:13 to Horsham arrive 11:02 where we will have a coffee break awaiting the arrival at 11:30 of the 10:53 from E Croydon. Returning half-hourly from Arundel we will hopefully get the 15:46 or 16:46 enabling a rapid cross platform change at Horsham for the return to Sutton (arriving at 17:11 or 18:11).
For those travelling by car parking is easy at Amberley and the walk starts 11:58but you will have to return on a different train
Please remember to book by text by Monday 6pm especially if you want a pub lunch.
Sutton Station Platform 2 for the 10:13 train to Horsham. Half hour change time at Horsham (Coffee / Toilets) before catching the 11:35 Bognor Regis train from platform 4 to Amberley arriving at 11:58.
