Overview

Join us on a walk in beautiful Rosedale, splendid views abound as we explore the surrounding rural countryside and its industrial heritage. From Rosedale Abbey we will walk up to Bank Top to the disused railway track and then proceed on to Sherriff’s Pit, Thorgill and Low Bell End before joining Knotts Road and Bridleway back to Rosedale Abbey.

The walk is along defined paths and track, with some roadside walking. There are some steep climbs and exposed moorland, please ensure you have appropriate clothing, boots and waterproofs. Walking sticks are useful, and remember to bring lunch and drinks.
