Ryedale COD BECK to SWAINBY

This is a circular walk from Cod Beck Reservoir to Swainby and back. There are a few stiles, and you will encounter a couple of steep ascents, one at the beginning and one at the end. We start from the car park and make our way along a quiet road where we join the Cleveland Way to Round Hill, and then follow a trail to High Farm, circling Whorl Hill Wood, past Whorlton Castle and on to Swainby. We then make our way back through Scarth Nick Farm and then on to Arncliffe Hall, along Tire Bank, where we then pick up the Cleveland Way through Arncliffe Wood before descending Beacon Hill and back to the CP.
