Meet at the train station at 10.15 (the train from Leeds arrives at 10.07.) Train times will be reviewed nearer the date.
We begin by making our way to the cinder path along the pavement of a busy street. We then head north through Scarborough along the cinder path passing the villages of Scalby, Burniston and Cloughton. At Cloughton we walk along a quiet road, until we reach the coastal path (Cleveland way) we then head south, taking in the views of Scarborough. There is a quiet pebbled beach at Crook Ness where we can take a break. We then head further along the Cleveland way towards Scarborough, ending at North Bay.
There will be time at the end to explore North Bay and buy an ice-cream, coffee or drinks etc.
The train station is approximately a 30 minute slow walk from North Bay.
The cinder path is flat and mostly tarmacked and therefore is very easy walking. There is one quiet road section, care to be taken with the traffic. The cleveland way is mainly good paths with some steps up and down hill. There are some very steep steps going down to Crook Ness care to be taken.
