This is a circular walk in the Street area, starting from the ridge which has the curious Hood monument which we visit as part of the walk. There are wonderful views across the Somerset countryside, and we will see Glastonbury Tor in the distance. We also visit a Church with a yew tree that is said to be a 1000 years old.
This is a walk on paths, track, fields and rough grassland. There is one longish but gradual ascent from the valley back up to the ridge, and a few shorter, steeper sections, a couple of stiles.
Please book with the Leader.
A packed lunch will be required.
Dogs welcome, but will need to be on a lead around live stock.
