Overview

We will follow the Monarch's Way over Parrock Hill and Corton Ridge to Sandford Orcas and on to Poyntington, then we will go over Poyntington Hill and Wheatsheaf Hill to Corton Hill and the Beacon. We return to South Cadbury via the site of the Medieval village of Whitcombe and then there will be an option to climb up to South Cadbury Hill Fort (AKA Camelot!) to admire the view and maybe spot King Arther! This walk is hilly and not for the faint-hearted but the views are amazing! Please bring food and drinks for at least 2 stops
