Overview

From the centre of Wellow, the walk will follow the former Somerset & Dorset Railway through to Midford, before heading west for one mile along the remains of the Somersetshire Coal Canal.  A steep climb of some 330 feet follows to Upper Twinhoe, before a magnificent descent with views back into Wellow.  Plenty of industrial and human history, but there will be no lectures along the way. Bring snack.

Moderate with one steep ascent and descent.
