Yes, our end of the Black Mountain massif has 7 bronze age cairns atop it. Some work to be done as we skirt the lower slopes through the old limestone workings and ascend its flank to the cairns, with the reward of panoramic views to the Gower and Preseli Hills.
This is a mountain walk, though not overly challenging. Expanses of rough moorland, occasional rocky terrain, and a few boggy patches, so boots and poles advised.
Suitable for dogs on a short lead.
