We are the Ramblers group for eastern Carmarthenshire. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

A chance to sample the walking opportunities promised by the new Path under construction between Llandeilo and Carmarthen. We will catch the bus from the Bishop’s Palace to Nantgaredig, walk a short distance south to join the completed section of the Path back to the Palace – a stroll alongside a tranquil stretch of the Towy and a fine view of Merlin’s Hill.
Back at the Palace enjoy a picnic in the gardens, visit the Carmarthen Museum (free of charge), or try coffee and cake at the café.
Ride and Ramble: Using our local public transport system, an occasional series combining the freedom of a point to point walk with the adventure of a bus or train ride.
Bring bus pass or fare. Easy walking on a minor road and tarmac path. No hills or stiles. Not much shade so consider protection if sunny. Dogs on a lead welcome subject to bus driver’s discretion.

Carmarthenshire Museum car park, Abergwili. From here we will catch the 10:32 service 280 bus to Nantgaredig, to commence the walk (don't forget some money or your bus pass). Additionally, we will meet at Llandeilo rail station car park SA19 6LE, departing 9:50 to share lifts.
