Overview

This scenic walk meanders and undulates, mostly on National Trust land, passing many points of interest – a well sunk by Octavia Hill (founder of the National Trust), an old ram pump which provides water to Emmetts Garden, the pretty hamlet of Frenchstreet, a bat tower, a memorial and reminders of an old estate. There are several sets of steps, a couple of them quite long, but no stiles. The walk is 5 miles long.  We welcome all including those who may not be regular walkers. Well behaved dogs welcome; we will walk through fields where there is likely to be livestock. See our website for further details:
