Overview

An undulating rural walk across the countryside from Penshurst, passing through woods and open fields, farms and villages, with views across the Weald to the South and North to the Greensand Ridge,

The route takes us to Kent Stream where we briefly join the Sussex Border Path before heading North to Hoath Corner where we will take our picnic lunch and refreshments as wished at The Rock.

The afternoon return is through Chiddingstone and Moorden to enter Penshurst Place park and taking in the views of the castle and surrounding countryside as we descend through the estate, with the possibility of further rehydration at the Leicester Arms.

There are no major climbs, though being a rustic walk there are lots of ups and downs and several stiles.
