The walk starts from the green at Sevenoaks Weald and goes via Little Sidcup and Vexour Bridge to Chiddingstone - about 5 miles and 100ft/30 metres of ascent. In the afternoon, we return via Charcott to Sevenoaks Weald - another 5 miles and 250 feet/75 metres of acent
This is an easy walk with very little ascent in the attractive countryside of the Low Weald. It is rated as "moderate" rather than "leisurely" only because of its length.
It takes us to the lovely village of Chiddingstone. One of the nicest pubs in Kent, the 15th century Castle Inn at Chiddingstone has been closed for the past 16 months. It has only just re-opened so what better excuse for a visit?
Lunch is available at the Castle Inn. We have been asked to provide a group order on the morning so please be ready to make your choice from the menu then. The Inn have asked that you say if you have any allergies.
