Overview

Shinfield traffic free. A pre-Christmas stroll around off-road paths in Shinfield, taking in Spencers Wood, Three Mile Cross and Langley Mead, but avoiding roads (with very minor exceptions). Pretty much flat, but a small climb up to the ridge from Church Lane (worth it for the view) We will start from the Farriers Arms in Basingstoke Road. Please park in Clares Green Road or the recreation ground car park just off it. Reading Buses route 600 stops at Spencers Wood Post Office, nearby.
