Overview

Woodley and Earley Lakes. A tour of the three man-made lakes to the east of Reading: South Lake, Maiden Erlegh Lake and Whiteknights Lake. The walk also visits High Wood and parkland alongside the River Loddon, and is virtually flat with no stiles. Reading Buses routes 17 (from central Reading) and 4 and 4a (from Central Reading, Wokingham and Bracknell) go to the starting point. If coming by car, park at Sol Joel Park (RG6 7DG or SU745721) and walk the short distance to the Three Tuns PH.
