We are the Bromley Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
From the Common at Shipbourne, we head north through Fairlawne Park and then east around Plaxtol before climbing up to Gover's Hill. Dropping down through orchards, we arrive at West Peckham for our lunch stop.
After lunch, our route takes us past Oxen Hoath House and Home Farm back to Shipbourne.
Thanks to David Preston for the idea of a walk taking in Gover's Hill. The view is terrific so fingers crossed for a clear day.
The Swan on the Green at West Peckham is an old favourite for lunch. Real ale fans will be disappointed to hear that they no longer brew their own beer at the Swan but they still have real ales from local brewers.
Picnickers will find seats around the green at West Peckham.
