A moderate and varied circular walk going along a wide path by the River Severn, where it’s possible to walk 3 or 4 abreast (ideal for holding a conversation as well as enjoying the lovely views)
We’ll have our drink stop at the site of the Hampstall Ferryboat disaster of 1919.Our lunch stop will be around Shrawley Wood which is the largest area of small-leafed lime trees in the country. We’ll return through a Vineyard that was once the most northerly in the world
There will be an opportunity for refreshments at the Lenchford Inn at the end of the walk
Do make sure you're fit enough and have the right footwear and clothing for weather conditions and the walk you want to do. You can contact the group or leader if in doubt.
Non-members of the Ramblers Association are welcome to join us on a couple of walks before deciding whether to join the group.
This is a joint walk with Sandwell & Walsall Ramblers
