Please note, this is a totaly different walk to last week, just starts in the same place.
From Snarestone we head out of the village crossing the busy B4116 Measham Road walking through fields and along roads to Gopsall Wharf where will stop for our coffee/tea break before following the Ashby-de-la-Zouch canal towards the village of Shackerstone.
We turn off before Shackerstone village and walk through more fields and along roads to reach the village of Newton Burgoland where we will stop for our lunch break
at The Belper Arms.
The pub has recently changed hands and is going through a refurbishment (It was due to re-open 30 October). Sandwiches cannot be eaten inside the pub or the beer garden however there is a bench on the
approach to the pub.
After lunch we make our way out of the village and along open fields before heading back towards the
village of Snarestone.
