Hi everyone I have been following the weather forecast and tomorrow is wet all day especially at lunch time. It's windy as well. Having talked to Gordon I am going to reschedule to one of the next vacant dates. I will go to the bus stop but hope that anyone who might join en route gets this message. We are the Sheffield Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A mix of woodland paths and open trails. If the weather is clear there are some good views.
Starting at Grenoside we go through woodland then over a stile into Wharncliffe Chase to Finkle Street. A bit of a climb takes us to Wortley then along the Trans Pennine/Timberland trail to Westwood and a steady descent to Chapeltown.
Catch the 86 bus at 9:26 from Angel Street. Returning from Chapeltown there are several buses and trains.
Mainly on well surfaced paths and trails but some muddy sections depending on the weather. One big but easy ladder stile. A short road section that will need single file and a couple of crossings of busy roads
