From Deep Hayes Country Park the walk follows the Leek Branch of the Caldon Canal towards Leek and then to Ladderedge Country park, from where there are great views, especially towards the Peak District.
The walk then goes south through Hollinhay Wood to rejoin the Leek Branch of the Caldon Canal to Denford. We then go south by Hazlehurst Wood to Lady Green and Crowpoint Wood before returning through Deep Hayes Country Park to the starting point.
Denford is very close to the starting point and so there is an opportunity for individuals to finish after 6 miles if they so wish.
Only three stiles, all after Denford.
