From the Ponderosa cafe we will follow the footpath northwards across open moorland, with views of the Clwydian Hills, before joining Offa's Dyke at the pretty village of Hafod Bilston. We will then follow the Offa's Dyke path through plantations of different ages ranging from newly planted trees to very tall mature spruce. On emerging from the forest we follow it's edge towards Sir Watkins Tower and the communication tower at the summit of Cym-y-Brain. On a clear day from here one can see Snowdonia, Merseyside, the Peak District and the Shropshire Hills. We will then descend with great views of World's End, the cliffs of Eglwyseg Mountain and the Foel Plantation, before arriving back at the Ponderosa.
