We've all seen the church at Ranmore on our walks, either passing by or from afar, but have you ever been inside? Now is your chance as it is open as part of the Heritage Open Days, from 2 - 4 pm. The walk takes us uphill, but not too steeply, for over a mile to reach St Barnabas. An opportunity to explore the church and gather your breath before we take a different route back to the car park, via Westhumble. A steepish descent here where poles could be useful if you use them. Opportunity for a cuppa in the Denbies cafe at the end, but you could bring a drink/snack to eat during our pause at the church instead (or as well!). If you want to visit the church but don't want to walk, you could park at Denbies Hillside car park (free to NT members) and join us at the church at around 2.15 - 2.30 pm.
No stiles
1 ascent
1 descent (see description)
2 - 2.5 mph (our usual pace)
No definitive finishing time has been given, since this will depend on how long the group as a whole wishes to spend at the church
Well behaved dogs on short leads welcome, by prior arrangement with the leader, but they may not be allowed inside the church itself - please text Anne on 07950926132
