We are the Brechin Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Through bents to hide at the mouth of North Esk. Along the beach to the north end. Ascend to Nether Woodston farm via Old Fishery. Via village to Kirkton. Descend the cliff path and return on the track below the cliffs.

Amendments due to Storm Babet
Note that the A92 coast road is closed at Lower Northwater Bridge, and the A937 is closed at Marykirk Bridge, both until further notice. The Upper Northwater Bridge on the A90 is the first available crossing of the River North Esk, from Angus into Aberdeenshire, upstream from the coast.
To reach the Walk Start from, e.g. Brechin, please follow the A90 north.
Opposite Laurencekirk, turn right onto the B9120 towards St Cyrus. This is the next junction after the permanent 50mph stretch on the A90; get into the right-hand lane in time.
Afterr crossing Garvock Hill, reach the A92 and turn right onto it.
Follow the A92 south through St Cyrus and onwards towards the closed bridge. Ignore and pass all "Road Ahead Closed" signs. Just before the closed Northwater Bridge, turn sharp left following signs to Steptoe's Yard and the NNR.
