Overview

The St Edmund Way is a long distance path across Suffolk, connecting Manningtree to Brandon.  We'll gradually walk the whole 80 mile route in a series of walks, exploring some of the surrounding area as we go.

We're aiming to complete the trail without any/much car shuffling, and with no convenient public transport for this section, Stage 2 will be a circular walk.  Starting where Stage 1 finished, we'll walk along the St Edmund Way from Stratford St Mary to Stoke by Nayland, and return to our cars using local lanes, footpaths, and part of the Essex Way.

With very few facilities along the route, please bring enough food and drink for the day.

Meet at Stratford St Mary (the same parking area we used for Stage 1).  Car sharing encouraged.
