We are the Chiltern Young Walkers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Join Chiltern Young Walkers on a moderate walk starting from Wendover Woods hidden (free) car park, following the Chiltern Way, Ridgeway and other footpaths.
We will walk through Wendover Woods, Pavis, Black and Northill Woods natural reserve and across farmland (livestock fields) as we head to St Leonards. In St Leonards at our 1/2 way point, we will stop off for a drink at the White Lion to enjoy the views from their pub garden before continuing on our circular route back to Wendover Woods car park.
There are some short, steep, hills on this walk and it can be muddy so please wear suitable footwear. Once out of the woods, it's also very exposed so please bring suitable clothing for the weather and plenty of water.
Dogs are welcome on a short lead. My dog reactive collie may be joining us so please give her lots of space! You are responsible for your own dog's needs along the walk so please adhere to the Dog Walking Code guidance and bring plenty of water for them.

The free car park is based at the exit from Wendover Woods car park (see pin). Once you have turned off of Upper Icknield Way and followed the signpost to Wendover Woods, keep going and don't turn off at the Wendover Woods entrance. Keep following the road past the golf course, Chiltern Dog Rescue, some farmland, and back alongside woodland. You will see a Wendover Woods exit sign - turn down here where it is a two way road and then follow the road off to the right before it becomes one way. You will see the two small car parks ahead of you.
