A lovely walk around the pretty sleepy villages of St Mary Bourne & Stoke - with their chocolate box thatched cottages and around both sides of the Bourne Valley with some beautiful views across the North Wessex Downs as well as a bit of woodland walking along the way, a rather random selection of army vehicles to be observed, and a stunning finish as we descend back into St Mary Bourne with beautiful views over the lake & village.
We will start from the centre of St Mary Bourne where the well stocked local village store should be open, selling tea, coffee & a variety of snacks & cakes and after the walk we will head to the George Inn for optional post- walk refreshments
Please bring refreshments for two stops - mid morning + lunch.
Dogs welcome with well behaved owners.
Note that the car park may be busy - additional parking may be available around the village but car sharing is very much to be encouraged.
There are public toilets available at the car park.
