Stac Gorm is a lovely small craggy hill outside Inverness, with stunning 360° views, particularly over Loch Ruthven. There’s some light scrambling near the top. It’s not a long walk, roughly an hour up and 45 minutes down, but the views are worth the effort. Walking poles will be helpful if you have them.
As there is no public transport to this point, we’ll meet at UHI at Ness Walk at 10 am and car-share to the start of the walk. It’s roughly a 40 minute drive. Let me know if you can offer lifts. Please bring change to contribute to petrol at 30p per mile divided by the number of people in the car.
Please sign up by contacting the walk leader by 7pm the day before.
Boggy, muddy, can be fairly wet at points. Rocky higher up, with some light scrambling. Good, waterproof boots essential.
