Overview

Meet at Dore & Totley Station for the second stage of the Steel-Cotton Rail Trail for a 10:30 start.
You can use a 97,98 or 218 bus or the 10:14 train to the station. Only limited on street car parking is available as the Station car park is closed until March.

The walk will go through Poynton Wood, Hay Brook, Moss Road, Totley Moor, Longshaw Estate and through Yarncliffe Wood to Grindleford Station.

The route is a steady climb through woods and over moorland and then follows a downward route through Longshaw down to Grindleford.

Some of the paths will be rough and muddy .

There are no facilities at the start but there is a cafe at the end.

Hopefully they'll be time for a mug of tea before our return by train
