Overview

The walk starts from Stone Village Green, from where we will walk through the churchyard and out of the village - towards the Little Avon River. We’ll follow alongside the river all the way to the edge of Berkeley, enjoying great views of the castle as we approach. The walk then deviates southward through the village of Ham, before climbing an escarpment and traversing the full length of the elevated Whitcliff Park (If we’re lucky we will see their herd of deer!).

We will then descend out of the park to cross low-lying fields bounded by streams and ditches, returning in the direction of Stone.
