If you have recently joined Glasgow Ramblers, or if you are thinking about joining, or perhaps haven't walked with us for a while you are especially welcome on this leisurely 3 .5 miles autumnal walk around Pollok Park.
We will start and finish at the park entrance on Pollokshaws Road, just a few minutes from Pollokshaws West station and across the road from the 57/57A bus stop.
The riverside path is beautiful in the autumn and we will follow the White Cart Water to Pollok House where we will stop for coffee just after 10.30 in the Edwardian cafe (or bring your own if you prefer, there are benches close by overlooking the water). We will continue along the river, walk past some of the Covid memorial structures to the Burrell, through the North Wood and back to the starting point.
This walk is a repeat of the one on Thursday 26 October.
Toilet facilities at the cafe and also at the Burrell.
If you are coming by train from Central Station there is one that leaves at 9.47 arriving at Pollokshaws West at 9.56.
There are regular buses from the city centre 57/57A and also McGills number 3, stopping across the road from the Pollokshaws entrance.
We will be on the main paths and trails in the park so trainers should be fine.
