We are the Taunton Deane Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

We will be dropped off at the Corfe Castle National Trust car park (loos available) where we will start the walk. The walk route is available on the Ramblers app - Isle of Purbeck - 8.4 miles.
It goes around the castle then into the village and then out along the Purbeck Ridge over Ballard Down. There are some steep climbs and rugged descents until we reach the coastal path into Swanage and make our way to the tea shop we will all meet up for tea/coffee & cake. (Please notify Joy if you have any dietary needs - gluten free etc- so that we can pre-warn the cafe).
For those not wanting to do either walks there is an opportunity to do your own thing around Corfe Castle and then make your own way into Swanage by bus or steam train to join the others at the cafe from 4.00 pm. The Old Stables Deli & Eaterie, 37 Commercial Road, BH19 1DF.
Park and meet at Taunton Gateway Park & Ride. The Coach will leave at 9.30 am.
The walk will start from the Corfe Castle car park at around 11.30 am.
The walk will end at the Old Stables Deli & Eaterie, 37 Commercial Road.
