Overview

Starting from Maidenhead Town Centre, we make our way across The Moor to the River Thames, cross over the bridge and walk through the pleasantly landscaped Taplow Riverside Development to Boulters Island. From here we pick up the Thames Path and follow it north towards Cookham.  This stretch of the Thames Path has lovely views of the river, Cliveden House and its grounds.  Turning our backs on Cliveden, we cross Battlemead and Widbrook Commons to join the Green Way which takes us back into Maidenhead Town Centre.  This is a flat walk with some muddy patches but no stiles.
