Overview

Continuing along the St James' Way (68.5 mile long Camino Ingles walk from Reading to Southampton). Meet on road bridge above Theale station (train from Reading or No 1 bus alight at Crown Inn and follow Station Rd for 0.3 miles to the station). The undulating walk will follow footpaths and quiet lanes to Burghfield Common and onto Mortimer visiting St Mary's church Sulhampstead along the way. We will finish walking around lunch time. If desired bring a packed lunch to eat at the end or there is a cafe or Horse and Groom pub in Mortimer. Return by bus 2/2a to central Reading via Burghfield Rd (1/2 hourly service).
