We are the Medway Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We visit three of the six churches that make up The Six Benefice - Upchurch, Lower Halstow and Newington. Each has a distinctive style of tower. This walk takes us through the varied countryside that lays between Rainham and Sittingbourne. We will have a sandwich/picnic break at Lower Halstow. (ps. The other 3 churches in the Benefice are Iwade, Hartlip and Stockbury).
Terrain: Pasture and arable land. Roads and tracks. Some undulations and uneven paths - but no stiles. Some of paths we will follow appear 'under used'. Part of the walk follows the Saxon Way along the shoreline between Ham and Lower Halstow.
Park and meet in the free car park - signed off the High Street as Free Car Park and Scout HQ. Not far from Newington station. What three words/// seaside.flattery.mirror
