Overview

This is a great winter walk across the starkly beautiful moorland of Hankley Common, and the sandy expanse of Frensham Ponds. There is hardly any road walking, no stiles, no steep ascents and little mud

There is ample parking at the Stockbridge car park on the Tilford Road, south of Tilford. We will stop at the café by Frensham Great Pond for lunch, but I suggest you bring a picnic. There are public loos there too.

As you drive south out of Tilford on Tilford road there is a field on the left with a footpath running paralleled to the road. At the end of the field turn left on a track and the car park is on the right
