Overview

Park in Tilton on the Hill, on the stretch of Digby Close running parallel to the B6047. We head west out of Tilton to Cold Newton. We continue generally NW; we'll take a break for coffee, then skirt Waterloo Lodge farm and drop down into South Croxton. We then head back in a southeasterly direction, following Queniborough Brook to Lowesby Hall, past the old railway station then climb back to our starting point.

An undulating walk with some nice views over the Leicestershire countryside. We mainly walk through pasture but some fields might be candidates for ploughing between recce and the day of the walk. Some of the ground is uneven so you might opt for good ankle support. There is no cafe at the end but there is the option of stopping at the Welcome Cafe at Holland's Nurseries on the drive back (closes 4:00pm).
