We are the Taff Ely Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
The walk starts from the car park at Tintern Abbey, heads to Chepstow through the woods with a stop for coffee at Eagles Nest view point. Lunch will be at Chepstow Castle We then head towards the Wye Valley Greenway and through Tidenham Tunnel and back to the Abbey. No torches are allowed in the tunnel due to nesting bats. We and we need to be fairly as we pass through through 1Km tunnel. During the first half of the walk, there are 365 steps to descend which may be unsuitable for anyone with a fear of heights. There are 4 stiles on the walk.
Parking at the Abbey is £5 and is card only.
