Overview

A walk in the impressive Staffordshire Moorlands starting from Tittesworth Water Visitor Centre. We visit the Gun, a hill overlooking the charming town of Leek. From there it’s on to Turner’s Pool with excellent views of The Roaches. Then on to Lud’s Church, a deep moss covered chasm full of history and myths. Finally is Clough Head before returning to the start. Joint walk with Wolverhampton Ramblers and Sandwell Ramblers.

We leave the meeting point in Walsall promptly at 08:15am. The start time is the time the actual walk is due to start.
Note thet this walk will take place the day the clocks go back.
We regret we cannot allow dogs other than assistance dogs on weekend Walsall Group walks.
Personal medication, e.g. asthma inhalers and angina sprays, must be carried by the walkers themselves.
All walkers should carry an ICE card or a contact number in case of emergency.
Booking is not necessary for this walk.
Walkers will need a packed lunch.

Tittesworth Water Visitor Centre, Meerbrook, Leek. A461 to Lichfield then A515 to Ashbourne. At A52 island take first exit (A52 Stoke / Leek). After 4 miles keep ahead onto A453 (Leek). In Leek follow A53 Buxton. After 2 miles turn L. There is a brown sign in advance of the reservoir turn but the turn itself is unsigned.
