We are the Inverness Young Walkers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This is a repeat of our Hallowe'en walk, but this time in daylight! We'll ramble around Tomnahurich Cemetery and up the hill to look out over Inverness, both north and south. We'll then finish off with a 4-km loop of Caledonian Canal, heading down the east side of the canal towards the locks, then cross over and walk back up past Caley Marina as far as Tomnahurich Swing Bridge, back to the start point.

All either stony or tarmacked paths, but there can be some muddy spots in the cemetery.
We will meet at the entrance to Tomnahurich Cemetery on Glenurquhart Road (just across the road from the Ballifeary Road junction). It's near the Cemetery Gates bus stop. The numbers 2, 17 and 917 leave from either Academy St or the bus station and stop at the cemetery gates. Parking is available nearby in the car park of the Botanic Gardens/Inverness Leisure. The starting point is about a 30-minute walk from the centre of Inverness.
