From the car park head south along the road, then east for the path to Shining Tor. Head north along the ridge to Cats Tor and beyond to Pym Chair. Continue north along an off-road path to Windgather rocks / Taxal Edge. From there continue down quiet lanes, through some woodland and fields in a generally south-west direction back to the car park. Risk assessment: Some road walking on quiet roads but no footpath. There may be animals on the route.
