From Tring we have a stiff climb up to the Ridgeway, which we follow all the way to Wendover for picnic lunch and a brief pub stop. Return starts along the Icknield Way, then climbs up over the Ridgeway and on through Buckland Wood and Hastoe to Tring Park. Plenty of woodland for shade.
