Overview

Meet at Paisley Gilmour Street Station in time to catch the 10.10 Ayr train, alighting at Troon.   Buy return ticket for Ayr.   There are toilets at Troon station and at the end of the walk in one of the many cafes and bars in Ayr.

Enjoy a coastal walk from Troon to Ayr.   The walk is over beaches, coastal paths and pavements.   It is an exposed route so come prepared for this.   There is the opportunity to shorten the walk at Prestwick if desired.   We will have lunch at Prestwick before walking on to Ayr.
