Overview

Leaving the village hall car park at  the eastern end of Gateside, we go down to the old industrial area of the village which lies beside the old railway line and the Eden River. We amble along the route of the old railway for a few hundred yards then head for the Bonnet Stane in the farmland at the foot of the Lomond Hills, returning along the original old road.
