About us
Kinross and Ochil Ramblers is a small friendly group in the Forth Valley, Fife and Tayside area. We are lucky to have stunning scenery with the Ochils, Trossachs, Lomond and Perthshire hills, the Fife coast and Loch Leven within reach, giving a great variety of walks on hills, along coasts and rivers, through woodland and in the countryside.
Our walks
We offer a wide choice of walks. Our weekend walks are fortnightly, alternating between Saturday and Sunday, including leisurely, moderate and strenuous walks. The Tuesday walkers meet fortnightly for a short and easy walk of about 4 miles, usually ending at a coffee shop. We have an annual weekend away, with a choice of walks and an enjoyable social programme, including a quiz. Our most recent weekend away was at the Barony Castle Hotel, near Peebles in the Scottish Borders, from 17 - 19 May 2024.
Join us
You are warmly welcome to join us for a walk or two before becoming a member of the Ramblers. If you love to walk but not to walk alone, you will have the opportunity to walk in company, led by experienced walk leaders. You will meet new people, make friends, have fun and enjoy the sociable aspects of the group. We like to have coffee or tea or a beer at the end of a walk when possible. You will also be welcome to join occasional social events and weekends away. We look forward to meeting you and walking with you soon.
Volunteering opportunities
We encourage members to get involved with volunteering by leading group walks. Training and support are provided by the Ramblers and by our own experienced walk leaders. You could also get involved as a committee member helping to organise the group’s activities.
