Overview

The walk will have some quiet road and green lane walking at the start and finish. The moorland sections will be on paths, some of which will be narrow, there will be two ascents, as we will pass two Neolithic Barrows on our way to the fine high point with extensive views from the summit of Ugborough Beacon. There will be more moorland walking as we pass the ancient Spurrell’s Cross on our way to Piles Hill. On our return route we will see Hobajohn’s Cross, a standing stone, and stone rows, as we use the Two Moors Way back to the walk start.
